Rough Draft of Template

Hello Everyone,

Since I've requested followers I decided that I needed to get something up here very quickly or you guys wouldn't have anything to comment on.  It has taken me a while to decide what I wanted to commit to for my action research project.

I am an ESL teacher and my passion is literacy so I decided to conduct my research on the effects that the Raz-Kids.com reading website has on the Developmental Reading Assessment that my district uses.  Many of the students at my elementary school are reading below level and we definitely need resources to assist in literacy.  I have had the program for the past couple of years  and I see growth with the ESL students, but I wonder how much growth should be attributed to the online reading program.  During my conference with my principal, she informed me that the district is thinking about purchasing a license for all teachers but they want to be sure that it will be money well spent.  I decided this would be the perfect research project for me to conduct the remainder of the school year.

Feedback is welcomed.  So here goes:

  1. This plan looks great. I think that it is a great thing that you are doing. I hope that you find this program a very useful tool. I teach chemistry and physics in my high school, and even in these classes, I see the problems that poor reading skills cause. So, thank you for your drive to improve reading skills. Good luck.
